engine control system failure light

hi there, the amber light came on whist driving today, i stopped and switched engine off the started again and the light hasn't came back on should i just ignore it.my car is a fiat seicento 1.1 sporting 2003.i would be much obliged for any help.

well switching the engine on and off will hardly ever make the amber light go away, but what i would advice you to do is to find time and take your car for a check up, if you had done so in the recent past, say like less than 500 miles of driving, then it could be that one of the sensors has been triggered by something or maybe the mechanics didn't do a good job. The only way to know is to have your vehicle diagnosed. . Hope that helped.
